The Platinum Pool Program acknowledges the top tier of aquatic facilities achieving the highest standards in safety and risk management and is recognised as a symbol of excellence within the industry. The program supports industry leaders to uphold gold standards with a strict ‘Code of Practice’ and annual assessment processes.

WSAC Facilities Manager, Kieran O’Dwyer, said acceptance into the program is a mark of the centre’s commitment to continuous improvement. “We are absolutely driven by our objective to be the home of swimming excellence and provide our swimmers with first-class training.”

“When it comes to safety, we are incredibly proud to be an industry leader. If we can raise that bar and help to promote best practise across the sector, then that is a really great thing for swimming as a whole.”

Earlier this year, WSAC was awarded the highest accreditation of a Gold Endorsement from Life Saving Victoria in the pool safety assessment program. “These prestigious awards offer reassurance that we are moving in the right direction, but we are most proud of all the underlying work that happens at the centre every day by our staff, focused on the best outcomes for our students.”
